On the evening of May 23, in commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the Southwest Opera Show and the 8th National Excellent Drama Exhibition, the drama "Lishui Beacon Smoke" selected by Guangxi Mass Art Museum was staged in Guangxi Culture and Art Center.

It is reported that the play mainly tells the history of Ouyang Yuqian, a famous Chinese dramatist and educator, who founded the first professional theater of drama in China - Guangxi Provincial Art Museum in Guilin during the Anti Japanese War, and co sponsored and organized the first drama exhibition in southwest China with Tian Han.

In addition, the drama Yanshui Ballad, selected by Xi'an Drama Theatre, was also exhibited on the same day. It is reported that during the Anti Japanese War, the writers and artists in Yan'an created lots of works for the workers, peasants and soldiers under the baptism of war, which enriched the cultural life of the soldiers and civilians in the base area.
