The theme of this year's National Science and Technology Week is "carrying forward the spirit of scientists and stimulating the innovation vitality of the whole society". It will focus on publicizing the major decisions and arrangements of the 20th CPC National Congress on scientific and technological innovation, publicizing the latest achievements of scientific and technological innovation in recent years, and publicizing and carrying forward the spirit of scientists. All local departments will carry out various mass scientific and technological activities simultaneously.
The Ministry of Science and Technology and Beijing will hold a scientific and technological innovation exhibition and a special exhibition of scientists' spirit in Hall 11, Shougang Park, Shijingshan District, Beijing from May 25 to June 1. Science and technology innovation exhibition will focus on more than 200 outstanding scientific and technological innovation achievements, focusing on new generation information technology, medicine and health, energy technology, modern agriculture, intelligent manufacturing and other emerging industries. The special exhibition on the spirit of scientists focuses on the advanced deeds of Chinese old, middle-aged and young scientific and technological workers, tells their struggle history of dedication to the country, continuous inheritance, sharing the same breath and destiny with the motherland, and vividly demonstrates the spirit of scientists of "patriotism, innovation, pragmatism, dedication, collaboration, and education".
All local departments will hold nearly 200 featured mass science and technology activities, so that the public can get close contact with science and technology and experience innovation. The Ministry of Science and Technology will also carry out a series of demonstration science and technology activities throughout the year, such as the science and technology train trip and the national science popularization contest.
