Former title: China's 22nd batch of medical teams to Levi and Israel free clinic in border villages
On the 23rd local time, at the invitation of the civil affairs department of the East Command of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), the 22nd batch of Chinese peacekeeping medical detachment to Lebanon sent medical personnel to the Kelaya village in the southern border area of Lebanon to carry out free clinic and drug delivery activities, which alleviated the problem of medical care for local people.
Kelaya Village is less than 5km away from the temporary border between Lebanon and Israel. The local medical resources are scarce, and the people have been facing the problem of lack of medicine for a long time. In addition, the ongoing escalation of the conflict between Lebanon and Israel has exacerbated this dilemma. After being invited, the medical team immediately transferred 12 medical staff to form a medical free clinic team, carrying a variety of instruments and more than 10 kinds of drugs, and went to Kelaya Village to provide free physical examination and medical treatment.
Zhu Mingliang, the 22nd Chinese peacekeeping medical detachment to Lebanon: We not only provide inspection, diagnosis and treatment and professional health consulting services for local villagers, but also provide relevant drugs to patients free of charge. Next, we will regularly carry out free clinic, tour and other activities, and do our best to help the local people in Lebanon ease the problem of medical treatment.
In order to solve the problem of difficulty for villagers with mobility problems to see doctors, the medical team specially set up a patrol team to provide on-site medical services.
Person in charge of Kelaya Village Pierre: Thank the Chinese medical team for providing selfless help to the villagers. You have provided such professional and considerate medical services to the patients in our village, which has effectively alleviated their pain and burden. Thank you to the friendly Chinese peacekeeping doctors, thank you.
Since its deployment in December last year, while carrying out various peacekeeping tasks, the Chinese Medical Detachment has also been actively carrying out humanitarian assistance activities in various ways, such as free clinics and donations, and has won widespread praise from the local people.
