What is rice yeast acid

Saccharomyces oryzae acid is a toxin produced by Pseudomonas coconutus, which is the main cause of poisoning and death.

Different from common bacterial toxins, this toxin is a small molecule fatty acid, which can inhibit the permeability of mitochondrial membrane and cause damage to liver, brain, kidney, heart and other substantive organs.

What are the symptoms of rice yeast acidosis

The main symptoms of patients are vomiting, diarrhea, general weakness and other symptoms. In severe cases, jaundice, subcutaneous hemorrhage, coma, delirium, oliguria, hematuria and other liver, brain and kidney damage symptoms may occur. In severe cases, blood pressure drops, tidal breathing, and finally respiratory paralysis may cause death. Generally, there is no heating.

How to keep away from rice yeast acidosis

The heat resistance of rice yeast acid is very strong, even if it is boiled at 100 ℃ and cooked under high pressure, it cannot be destroyed. Only through good hygienic practices and eating habits can such poisoning events be prevented.

★ Families and small workshops generally do not produce or sell fermented rice and flour food.

★ Consumers should buy food from formal channels, carefully read the product label, and pay attention to the sensory properties, production date and shelf life of the product.
