With the growing popularity of green travel, convenient and compact bicycles have become the first choice for citizens to travel. Bicycles with various styles and different prices on the street are watched by people with ulterior motives. Recently, in Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province, a man ran into a bicycle parked on the roadside. He was greedy and stole the 3200 yuan bicycle. Later, he rode thousands of miles from Zhanjiang to Guangzhou. He thought he could avoid the police investigation, and finally fell into the law.

Mr. Xie is a cyclist. He usually likes to ride a bike to work or go out for fun. So he spent 3200 yuan to buy various parts online and assemble a road bike by himself. On March 20 this year, Mr. Xie rode to a mall in Zhanjiang Economic Development Zone, parked his bike under a green tree near the mall, and locked it with chains. When he came out of the shopping mall, he found his bike was missing, and he did not find it in many places. Aware that his car was stolen, Mr. Xie hurried to call the Quanzhuang Police Station of Zhanjiang Public Security Bureau Economic Development Zone Branch for help.

After receiving the police, the police rushed to the scene to investigate. Through investigating the scene and visiting the surrounding shops and people, the police quickly grasped the situation of the case, and soon found a man wearing a cap and black clothes acting suspiciously. After in-depth analysis, research and judgment, the police found out that the suspect was named Piao Mouzhe. At 11:00 that day, he wandered around the stolen bike for a long time, cut off the bike chain while nobody was around, and then rode away on his bike.

After investigating and visiting, the police found that Piao had stolen a bicycle, and then rode eastward and out of Zhanjiang gradually. The vast sea of people and the uncertain whereabouts of suspects make it more difficult to trace. After more than 10 days of continuous tracking, the police, with the support of relevant functional departments, grasped an important clue: Park appeared in Guangzhou a few days ago. The arresting group immediately set out to implement control.

After nearly two days of continuous squatting, feeling and platoon, at about 15:00 on April 12, the police involved in the case, with the assistance of the Guangzhou police, arrested the suspected thief, Park Mouzhe, and recovered the stolen bicycle on the spot.

After investigation, Park Mouzhe was sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment by the People's Court for theft in 2023, and was just released from prison in January this year. Recently, Park planned to leave Zhanjiang and wanted to steal a bicycle. After checking in advance, he saw a road bike parked in a mall in the Economic Development Zone. Then he used tools to cut off the bike chain when nobody was around, and rode the bike to escape overnight. In order to avoid police investigation, he rode eastward from Zhanjiang for 3 days and 2 nights, nearly 500 kilometers, by the roadside signs, and finally arrived in Guangzhou.

At present, the criminal suspect Park Mouzhe has been detained by the Economic and Technological Development Zone Branch in accordance with the law for suspected theft, and the case is being further investigated and handled.
