In 1974, a canine tooth fossil unearthed from the Wuguidong site in Xinqiao Village pushed forward the history of Zhejiang Province for more than 40000 years and made it famous. Since then, geological experts have found rich geological heritage resources in the field survey of Lijia Town. The only proven conglomerate stone forest in Zhejiang Province, the rare pyritized ammonite fossils in China, and the fossils of multi phyla marine biological communities... In order to make good use of these precious geological heritage resources, Lijia Town has gradually explored a green development path of "geology+cultural tourism".

With the support of special village construction subsidies and related policy projects, Lijia Town invited local talents to design and build fossil museums, repair dilapidated village roads, and build small museum groups such as rural fossil museums, stone science popularization museums, and archaeological studios. "Since April, research teams have come to Xinqiao Village, and students are very interested in mysterious paleontological fossils," Zhu Donggen said. In recent years, each village in Jiande City has planned and developed according to its own unique resources.
