At 10:00 a.m. on May 22, with the hoisting and docking of section 39 steel tower in place, the main tower of No. 4 pier of Ma'anshan Yangtze River Highway Railway Bridge on Chaoma Railway, which was constructed by Anhui Hema High speed Railway Company and Ning'an Railway Company, designed by China Railway Major Bridge Design Institute and contracted by China Railway Major Bridge Bureau, was capped.

Maanshan Yangtze River Highway and Railway Bridge is a controlling project of Chaoma Intercity Railway. It is located about 2.3km upstream of the existing Maanshan Yangtze River Bridge (highway bridge), including the main branch channel bridge, the auxiliary branch channel bridge, the bridge on both banks and the approach bridge in the river center. The bridge is 9.8km long. The main branch channel bridge adopts a three tower steel truss cable-stayed structure with a main span of (2 × 1120) meters, with a total length of 3248 meters. It is the world's first three tower cable-stayed bridge with a double main span of more than 1000 meters, the world's largest span three tower cable-stayed bridge, and also the world's longest steel truss cable-stayed bridge. The upper layer of the bridge is a two-way six lane urban expressway, the lower layer is a double track Chaoma intercity railway, and another two reserved railways are set up. Among the three main towers, Tower 3 is the north main tower, Tower 4 is the middle main tower, and Tower 5 is the south main tower, with the heights of 308 meters, 345.6 meters, and 306 meters respectively. Among them, Tower 3 and Tower 5 will be capped in August 2023 and January 2024 respectively.

Chaoma Intercity Railway is an important part of the national "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railway network along the river. The main line is 61 kilometers long, with a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour. It connects Hefei Hangzhou high-speed railway in the north, and Ning'an high-speed railway in the east. It is a direct link between Ma'anshan and Hefei, the capital of Anhui Province.
