The event is jointly hosted by the General Administration of Sport of the People's Republic of China and the Ministry of Education. There are 6 events for men and women, including football, basketball and volleyball. It is planned to be held once a year in the future.
According to the competition rules, the athletes should be under the age of 18 years old. A delegation from all provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps should participate in the competition. Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Macao Special Administrative Region and Taiwan Province can send delegations to participate.
The first three ball games will be divided into qualification and final stages, and 16 teams will be admitted to each event to enter the final stage. If the number of participating teams is less than the quota, the actual number of participating teams will be accepted.
In terms of athletes' qualification, the representative units of athletes shall register according to the participating units, and the Volleyball Management Center of the General Administration of Sport of the People's Republic of China, China Football Association and China Basketball Association shall conduct qualification review. One athlete can only participate in the competition on behalf of one delegation, and the athletes who apply for the qualification stage cannot change their units to participate in the final stage.
The head of the Youth Division told reporters that the results of each minor event in the first sports meeting will be included in the total results of the 15th National Games, and the results of each competition in the future will also be included in the total results of the National Games in the corresponding cycle.
