Over the past 30 years, Zheng Xuan has taken root in the forefront of agricultural machinery research in Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, always adhering to the starting point and foothold of meeting the needs of farmers, responsible for developing more than 10 kinds of machines and tools that meet the needs of agricultural production in Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, and has been widely promoted and applied in agricultural production.

The history of garrison reclamation and border defense of the Corps is a history of the development of plowing. Zheng Xuan is familiar with all these things, from the earliest people pulling cattle to mechanical operations, from extensive farming to intensive farming.

In the 1950s and 1960s, Zheng Xuan's parents came to Shihezi 150th Regiment of the 8th Division of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps to become agricultural technicians in the regiment farm. After Zheng Xuan was born, the farmland where her parents worked became her childhood paradise. From childhood, Zheng Xuan became interested in agricultural machinery.

After graduating from the agricultural mechanization major of Shihezi Agricultural College (now Shihezi University Agricultural College), Zheng Xuan turned his hobbies into a lifelong pursuit and has been fighting in the forefront of agricultural machinery research.

At the end of the 1990s, foreign wheeled tractors with more than 100 horsepower entered the Xinjiang market. At that time, the overturning plow matched with high-power wheeled tractors also mainly depended on imports. In order to break the foreign technology monopoly and improve the ability of independent innovation, Zheng Xuan took the lead in undertaking the task of "localization and development of hydraulic overturning five share plow" in the "948" project of the Ministry of Agriculture (now the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Areas). By introducing, digesting and absorbing the advanced technology of foreign products, the amplitude modulated hydraulic reversible plow has been successfully developed.

In order to verify the performance difference between the domestic prototype and foreign products, Zheng Xuan led the technicians to the test bases of Tacheng and Altay Agricultural Machinery Promotion Center for assessment tests. In the desolate Gobi desert, Zheng Xuan followed the tractor to check the test. After a month of tracking and testing, she finally obtained the performance comparison data of the domestic prototype and the imported product under different working conditions, which provides an important reference basis for the subsequent independent development of a series of products that adapt to different soil conditions and operating requirements.

"What are the characteristics of the local soil? What problems should workers pay attention to when using agricultural machinery? What technical details need to be improved? These problems can only be felt when 'feet in the field'." Zheng Xuan said.

Over the years, Zheng Xuan has presided over and undertaken more than ten national, provincial and ministerial projects, especially the research on the hydraulic overturning plow supporting a series of high-powered tractors. He has broken through a series of key technical problems, broken the monopoly of foreign products at that time, developed a series of agricultural machinery and equipment, and made contributions to ensuring national food security and promoting China's agricultural machinery to the international stage.

There is no end to scientific research. Now, Zheng Xuanzheng is leading the team to develop a series of hydraulic overturning plows for tractors above 300 horsepower. "We need to design our products more automatically and intelligently, so that we can improve the efficiency of agricultural production." Zheng Xuan said that she hoped that the staff and masses of the Corps could use good domestic plows.
