On May 8, the first Liuzhi Special Zone Vocational Skills Competition for Elevator Maintenance Units, jointly sponsored by Liuzhi Special Zone Market Supervision Administration Bureau and Liuzhi Special Zone Federation of Trade Unions in Liupanshui City, Guizhou Province, with technical guidance provided by Zhongshan Testing Institute of Guangdong Special Equipment Testing Research Institute and Liupanshui Special Inspection Institute, was held.

During the competition, the participating staff flexibly used the knowledge learned before the competition, calmly, quickly and accurately carried out wire rope measurement, speed limiter calibration, brake disassembly, trapped people rescue, etc., showing a good competitive state and skill level.

Du Liewen, a maintenance worker of Guizhou Yihengda Elevator Engineering Co., Ltd., said, "Through the pre competition training and under the guidance of experts, I have a further understanding of wire rope inspection, speed limiter calibration, brake disassembly and maintenance. Through this training, I also learned the new inspection regulations."

Zeng Jian, the person in charge of Guizhou Zhongaoda Elevator Engineering Co., Ltd., said, "Through this skill competition, we have in-depth exchanges with many brother companies, so that we can find our own shortcomings. In the future work, we will make a comprehensive understanding of what we learned this time, and strive to better maintain the elevator equipment and lower the failure rate."

It is reported that this elevator maintenance skills competition is the first elevator maintenance professional skills competition held in Liuzhi Special Zone, with 20 contestants from 10 elevator maintenance units in Liuzhi Special Zone participating.

Fang Zhisheng, member of the Party Leadership Group and deputy director of the Market Supervision Administration Bureau of Liuzhi Special Zone, said that experts from Zhongshan Inspection Institute of Guangdong Special Inspection Institute came to Liuzhi to provide technical support for the competition. Liupanshui Special Inspection Institute also provided technical support for the competition and acted as a supervisor, further deepening the cooperation between the east and the west. Through the competition, 10 elevator maintenance units reflect the good style of skilled craftsmen in the new era, so as to create a strong atmosphere of "advocating skills", effectively improve the skill level of maintenance personnel in the whole area, improve the quality of maintenance, and become a reliable "guardian" of elevator safety.
