In 2021, the General Manager of Guyuan City tried to implement the system of "employees telling stories" in some enterprises and achieved initial success. Since 2019, in many enterprises in Ninghai County, Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, there has been a special "staff talk" studio. According to the general requirements of Ninghai County, the studio must have "eight things": a workplace, signs, work system, a hotline, a mailbox, a shift sheet, a record book and a bulletin board. The enterprise can set up a separate place to set up a "staff talk" studio, or it can set up a "staff talk" studio relying on the existing trade union chairman office or conference room. Generally speaking, the trade union cadres of enterprises are arranged to receive in a centralized manner every Friday, usually during the noon break or within an hour after work in the afternoon. Employees can reflect their work and life demands or the company's business management opinions and suggestions, including employee rights, safety production, service quality, etc. For the employees' demands and matters within the scope of the trade union's functions, the reply shall be given on the spot or within 5 working days; For matters not within the scope of trade union functions, the trade union shall actively contact, communicate and coordinate with relevant functional departments, and give replies on the spot as far as possible. It is required that the staff office should have "five things": signboard, flow chart, duty sheet, record book and case handling result register.

Ji'an Municipal Federation has established a leading group headed by the main person in charge of Ji'an Municipal Federation of Trade Unions to supervise and lead the establishment and operation of the "Staff Affairs Office". The Thursday of the first week of each month is fixed as the day for employees to talk. The cadres of Ji'an City General Office go to the "talking room" to listen to the employees' talk face to face, help the employees to solve the practical problems in life, solve them on the spot if they can, and give clear answers to the parties if they can't solve them on the spot. After studying the solutions, they will give feedback in a timely manner and make the results public. The construction of the "storytelling room" will be included in the year-end target management evaluation of each county (city, district). The leading group members of Ji'an Federation of Trade Unions will form an assessment team to score the annual work of the "storytelling room" in each county (city, district) on the spot and rank it.
