Nanning, Guangxi Daily (reporter/Sun Pengyuan) On May 9 and 10, the stage play The Age of Awakening, adapted from the TV play of the same name and produced by Shanghai Drama Arts Center, was staged in Guangxi National Theatre (see the following figure). Along with the passionate original music and carefully choreographed dance, a magnificent historical scroll is vividly displayed in front of the audience, leading people back to the era of burning passion, and feeling the light of faith in the hearts of revolutionaries that has lit up a century.

The stage play The Age of Awakening shows the awakening and struggle of an era through a series of vivid characters and exciting stories. On the stage, Li Dazhao, Chen Duxiu, Mao Zedong and other historical figures with full blood and flesh appeared in turn, and the actors portrayed the image of the Chinese revolutionary pioneers vividly with full enthusiasm and superb acting skills. The in-depth exploration of the inner world of intellectuals and the delicate description of the conflicts between husband and wife, father and son, tradition and modern, new and old cultures in the play make the characters more plump and sincere.

Because of its profound historical connotation, exquisite artistic expression and profound grasp of modern aesthetics, the play has become a "blockbuster" pursued by young audiences. The play adopts modern stage technology, such as multimedia projection, mechanical turntable, etc., combined with carefully designed lights and music, to provide the audience with an immersive experience of watching the play. In particular, the "rain in Shanghai" and "snow in Beijing", which have always been talked about by the audience, add a strong sense of poetry and atmosphere to the plot and become a high-profile "important role" on the stage.
