Mo Xiaojun, a craftsman from Hunan, is the leader of the rubber and plastic center of Sinopec Hunan Petrochemical Rubber Department.

Oil and gas wells are prone to crack due to geographical conditions during long-term work, which constitutes a potential safety hazard. Mo Xiaojun noticed this and led the team to start developing efficient repair and plugging materials. Finally, a self repairing material for oil and gas well cement sheath is developed. The problem of long-term safe operation of oil and gas wells has been solved, and this technology is at the international advanced level.

Over the years of work, Mo Xiaojun has always adhered to the saying that "scientific research should have its own endurance, unswervingly maintain its own pace, and not always maintain its original intention of scientific research because of external influences.". It has successively won the honorary titles of "Min Enze Young Science and Technology Talent Award" of Sinopec, "Excellent Petrochemical Engineer" and "Enterprise Innovation Talent" of Hunan Province, and the research team has won the "Furong Model Post" of Hunan Province@ Yueyang Federation of Trade Unions
