According to the Workers' Daily, on March 4, the trade union sector of the CPPCC National Committee submitted a sector proposal to the second session of the 14th CPPCC National Committee - "Proposal on better giving play to the role of mutual medical assistance of workers to meet the diversified health needs of workers".

Mutual medical insurance for employees is a supplement to employee medical insurance. For a long time, mutual medical assistance for employees has been welcomed by employees with the characteristics of low cost, low payment, wide coverage and wide benefits. The proposal provides useful ideas for employees' mutual medical assistance to further play a more "extensive" role.

The proposal proposes to issue policy documents that are conducive to the development of medical security at other levels, such as employee medical assistance, and give full play to the role of employee medical assistance in improving the level and treatment of employee medical security. At present, employees have diversified health needs, and need to provide them with more comprehensive medical security on the basis of basic medical insurance. The inclusive mode of "low payment and risk sharing" of mutual medical assistance for employees has certain advantages in widely improving the level of medical security for employees. By introducing relevant policies, helping employees to develop more comprehensive security products for mutual medical assistance, and carrying out more diversified health management services for members, employees can benefit widely.

The proposal emphasizes that trade union organizations should be encouraged to play a complementary role in providing medical assistance to workers in new forms of employment. In recent years, many local trade unions have made medical assistance for employees benefit some workers in new employment forms in the form of "gift". Encouraging trade union organizations to continue to act in this field can further provide supplementary security for workers in new forms of employment and expand the coverage of medical assistance.

A series of suggestions put forward in the proposal provide specific ways to promote the development of mutual medical assistance among employees.
