Minnan wood carving is famous for its long history, exquisite craftsmanship and strong local characteristics. When Chen Jinzhong was 18 years old, he came to Nan'an to learn wood carving techniques from a folk artist in Meishan Town at that time. When he was young, Chen Jinzhong visited and learned the carving skills of many temples, ancestral halls and Buddha statues around him. For 30 years, Chen Jinzhong has been pursuing the craftsmanship spirit of excellence, meticulousness and indefatigability.
