By the end of 2022, the railway operating mileage of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region has reached 14800 kilometers, ranking first in China. Behind the smooth operation of the railway is the silent efforts of many "maintenance engineers", among which Sun Jian is particularly prominent.

After 27 years of railway work, Sun Jian started as a railway line worker at the lowest level and grew into a leading chief technician in Inner Mongolia.
