At two o'clock on the afternoon of April 25, four of us came to the fire rescue brigade of Midu County, paid condolences to 18 firefighters and paid consolation money to 6 firefighters who were living in difficulty.

Looking at their dark and rough palms when delivering the consolation money, we felt how heavy the weight behind this responsibility was. In order to deeply understand the work of firefighters, we visited various fire-fighting equipment such as water rescue, mountain rescue and earthquake rescue.

The relevant person in charge of the fire rescue brigade invited us to experience the fire-fighting equipment worn by the firefighters during the fire fighting process, among which the basic equipment weighs about 15kg, and the 72 hour cross-country equipment weighing about 30kg is added. I volunteered to take the lead in trying. After finishing wearing a set of basic fire-fighting equipment, I found that the rigor of the procedure, the stuffiness of the package, and the heaviness of the portable equipment were far beyond my imagination. I was in a hurry to finish wearing in 3 minutes, while the firefighters had to finish putting on and taking off in 1 minute. I can only stagger a few steps, and the fire rescue team should run at a high speed at the rescue site with equipment in hand. At that moment, I really felt that the quiet years were just someone carrying the weight for you.

It is reported that this is a heroic team, which has built a clear sky for the happiness and tranquility of the local people with excellent fire fighting and rescue skills for several years. It has been elected as the provincial youth civilization number and the state-level civilized unit, and won the honor of the prefectural advanced fire rescue team performance assessment team, the first grass-roots party organization, etc., and 17 people have won third class honors.

The team leader told us that after the establishment of the Trade Union of Midu County Fire Rescue Brigade, the County Federation of Trade Unions helped them to establish a fully functional and warm staff home, such as a staff cinema, a staff library, and a staff activity room.
