On May 8, the Federation of Trade Unions of Guiyang, Guizhou Province, held a grassroots work conference of the city's trade unions. Li Cheng, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Vice Chairman of the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, attended the meeting and made a speech. Relevant responsible comrades from all districts (city and county federation of trade unions), trade unions in all development zones, industrial working committees (trade unions), and responsible comrades from all departments and directly affiliated units of the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions attended the meeting.

At the meeting, the Huaxi District Federation of Trade Unions, the Xifeng County Federation of Trade Unions, and the Light Chemical Industry Commission made exchange speeches around the standardization of grass-roots organizations, the construction of workers' homes and other work. The meeting summarized the grass-roots work of the city's trade unions in 2022, and deployed the work tasks for 2023.

The meeting pointed out that the trade unions at all levels in the city should implement the working mechanism of "Party building drives industrial construction, and industrial construction serves party building", continue to expand the coverage of trade union organizations, achieve the goal of "two hands, two hands hard", stimulate the vitality of grassroots trade unions, and build grassroots trade union organizations into workers' homes trusted by workers; Improve the quality of democratic management, play a real role in safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of employees and promoting the healthy development of enterprises, and achieve quality and efficiency improvement; Strengthen contact and guide social organizations, give play to the role of trade union organizations as a bridge and link, and actively serve the central task of the Party committee and government; Take the "Year of Strengthening County level Trade Unions" as an opportunity to focus on solving the problems at the grass-roots level, and put more resources into the grass-roots level. It is necessary to compact the work responsibilities of trade unions at all levels, earnestly change the work style, strengthen exploration and innovation, promote the high-quality development of the work of trade unions at the grassroots level, constantly enhance the cohesive force and influence of trade unions' organizational strength, and further create a new situation for the work of trade unions at the grassroots level in the city.
