He is thin, with white temples and firm eyes. He has been struggling in the hard post of ocean fishing for 29 years. From the North Pacific to the Antarctic waters, from West Africa to the waters off Chile, there are traces of his struggle and sweat.

The "Furonghai" ship is a large-scale fishing and processing ship specialized in Antarctic krill fishing and production. It is the most advanced professional Antarctic krill fishing and processing ship in China at present. Yang Dejun led the model worker innovation studio team to use satellite remote sensing data to study the habitat habits of krill and the impact of the marine environment on krill, determine the migration route of krill, and form a set of scientific "Yang's shrimp hunting method", whose output has always ranked first among the same type of operating vessels in the Antarctic fishing ground. He has explored the fishing gear and method suitable for catching krill, with an annual catch of 35000 tons.

Yang Dejun has successively participated in the implementation of China's first "863 Plan" for the development and utilization of Antarctic marine biological resources, "Key Technologies for the Rapid Separation and Deep Processing of Antarctic Krill", "Marine Environment Safety Guarantee", a national key research and development plan of the "13th Five Year Plan", and "Key Technologies for the Formation Mechanism and Efficient Utilization of Antarctic Krill Fishing Ground", a key special plan The project task and the resource exploration and fishing task of the national "Antarctic Marine Biological Resources Development and Utilization" project in eight fishing seasons have cleared the technical bottleneck of large-scale industrialization of Antarctic krill fishing production. The project of "Research and Application of Key Technologies for the Sustainable Utilization of Antarctic Krill Resources" he participated in won the Grand Fisheries Innovation Award of the Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences, making outstanding contributions to the scientific research of Antarctic Krill resources in China.

The krill fishing is not going smoothly. "During the voyage in 2020, the fishing production encountered unprecedented difficulties. The shrimp larvae were not concentrated and clustered, the shrimp population was deep during the day, and the resources were unstable." Yang Dejun recalled that, in view of the krill image and the changes in the day and night, he studied the opening of the mesh plate and the ratio of the float and sink of the net gear by adjusting the length of the trawl and the trawl speed, The fishing yield of Antarctic krill was increased.

"I also improved the processing flow, equipment and process of Antarctic krill to improve the yield of shrimp powder; In view of the characteristics of Antarctic krill that is easy to be oxidized and degraded, we have repeatedly tested and compiled China's first frozen edible krill, shelled krill meat, cooked edible shrimp, bait krill, edible krill powder and other process standards, which have become the use standards of domestic krill fishing enterprises, so that China's Antarctic krill industry can quickly reach the world's leading processing technology and world-class fishing technology. " Yang Dejun said.

At present, the krill products of the "Furonghai" ship have received unanimous praise from customers at home and abroad. The processed krill products are in short supply. The "Furonghai" ship has made profits of more than 250 million yuan in the past nine years.

The large trawl processing fishing boat is a mobile processing plant. Each boat has more than 100 crew members. A production cycle of 2-3 years, and 24 hours of work and life are limited to this boat.

As a captain, Yang Dejun should not only ensure the safety of navigation, fishing and production, but also do a good job in the daily management of the crew, and also face the test of other emergencies such as bad weather.

In 2020, the ship "Fu Rong Hai" was repairing in South Africa. In the face of foreign epidemics, Yang Dejun formulated a rigorous maintenance work plan and epidemic prevention work plan, stipulating that all crew members should consciously not leave the land during ship repair, materials should be disinfected before boarding, shipyard personnel should register for temperature measurement and take isolation channels when boarding for maintenance, and the site should be disinfected after work Each process shall strictly implement the requirements of the two work plans. In order to reduce the boarding frequency of local personnel in South Africa, he proposed to convert most factory repair projects to self repair, saving more than 1.5 million yuan.

The ocean production is far away from the base port, and has been drifting in the deep ocean for a long time. The production task on the ship is heavy, the rest time is short, and the living space of the crew is narrow, simple and boring, which easily leads to impatience.

Yang Dejun said that he often organizes crew members to learn business knowledge, creates a good learning atmosphere, and carries out safety knowledge contests, chess contests, poker contests and other activities to ease crew members' emotions and strive to create a "harmonious ship group".

Although Yang Dejun is not the oldest on the ship, he is the "big parent" of the ship and the "backbone" of everyone on board.
