1. The National Meteorological Center is responsible for determining the central location of numbered tropical cyclones, and the meteorological stations of provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government) are responsible for the central location of tropical depressions and tropical disturbances.

2. Before the labeled tropical cyclone enters the warning release area of the National Meteorological Center (i.e. east of the 48 hour warning line), it will be positioned four times a day at 00, 06, 12 and 18 o'clock (Universal Coordinated Time, the same below); After entering the warning issuing area of the National Meteorological Center (that is, west of the 48 hour warning line), three additional positions were issued at 03:00, 09:00 and 21:00.

3. The positioning report before each tropical cyclone landing must be sent within 1 hour after the punctuality, and it can be sent within 1.5 hours after the punctuality. The meteorological station of the province (autonomous region, municipality directly under the Central Government) where the center is located should report the center's position to the National Meteorological Center by telephone within 1 hour and 15 minutes after the punctuality.

4. When the tropical cyclone moves out of the numbering area or the maximum average wind near the center has weakened to level 7 or below and there is no serious weather, the compilation of tropical cyclone actual conditions and forecasts will be stopped. The National Meteorological Center shall try to communicate with relevant provincial meteorological stations before suspension. After the tropical cyclone is stopped, meteorological stations at all levels must still strengthen monitoring.

For the tropical depression still located on the islands and continents of China after the weakening, the National Meteorological Center should continue to compile and issue information on the location of the low-pressure center until the low-pressure disappears. The meteorological observatory of the province (autonomous region, municipality directly under the Central Government) where the low pressure center is located shall provide the National Meteorological Center with advice on the location of the center by telephone within 1 hour and 15 minutes after the punctuality.

5. For the time when the National Meteorological Center is not responsible for positioning, the meteorological stations of each province (autonomous region, municipality directly under the Central Government) can locate and notify the relevant meteorological stations in the province (autonomous region, municipality directly under the Central Government) as needed.

6. The landing place of the tropical cyclone numbered shall be provided by the meteorological station of the tropical cyclone landing province (autonomous region, municipality directly under the Central Government) to the attendant in the consultation room of the National Meteorological Center by telephone within 1.5 hours after landing, and shall be coordinated and determined by the National Meteorological Center. The landing point shall be at least accurate to the county, and if possible, the specific location and time shall be specified as far as possible. When the telephone line is not available, the meteorological observatory of the landing province (autonomous region, municipality directly under the Central Government) shall actively take measures to report. The National Meteorological Center shall prepare and issue landing reports in a timely manner.

7. The National Satellite Meteorological Center is responsible for producing and providing tropical cyclone satellite guidance reports. Each tropical cyclone satellite guidance report must be sent within 45 minutes after the punctuality, and the time of sending is the same as that specified in Article 2.

8. The National Meteorological Center shall timely notify the National Satellite Meteorological Center of the tropical cyclone number and suspension information.
