Introduction to the Expo: Vietnam International Trade Expo (VIETNAMEXPO) It is sponsored by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and held once a year. Focusing on import and export transactions, it is the largest, most influential and most internationalized exposition in Vietnam, and one of the most attractive international expositions in Southeast Asia. The Expo provides opportunities for domestic and foreign enterprises and trade promotion organizations to develop economic and trade cooperation, carry out production, operation, import and export trade and other activities, and is also a good platform for enterprises to recommend new products and technologies. In January 2007, Vietnam officially became a member of the WTO, and its economy is increasingly integrated into the world economy. With the change of the world market organization form and trade mode, the trend of globalization is becoming more and more obvious. After Vietnam's accession to WTO, its trade has obtained good opportunities for development, which has shortened the distance from the world economy. The 20th Vietnam International Trade Fair will be one of the most important trade activities in Vietnam in 2010. 2、 Review of the last session: VIETNAMEXPO in April every year is the most important trade promotion activity in Vietnam. This year, the 19th Vietnam International Trade Expo (VIETNAMEXPO2009) was grandly held in the Vietnam Exhibition Center and achieved a complete success. Vietnam's senior leader, Vice Premier Huang Zhonghai, leaders of government departments and representatives of diplomatic missions from various countries attended the opening ceremony. 480 enterprises from 16 countries and regions including South Korea, China, Malaysia, Indonesia, Turkey, Cuba, Japan, Australia, Russia, Germany, Thailand and Hong Kong participated in the exhibition, with a total of 520 booths. The total amount of trade contracts signed on site reached more than 600 million dollars.
