The Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council held a regular press conference this morning. Chen Binhua, spokesman of the Taiwan Affairs Office, presided over the press conference.

Sichuan News cover reporter: After six years of renovation, the Taiwan History Museum reopened, but found that the original Suzhou landscape was replaced by Japan's dry landscape, which was criticized by the island's public opinion as "destroying memory". What's your comment on this?

Chen Binhua: People from all walks of life and public opinion in the island have questioned and opposed this. I would like to emphasize that any "de Chinesization" strategy will not erase the imprint of Chinese culture in Taiwan society and weaken the Chinese national consciousness of Taiwan compatriots. It is hoped that Taiwan compatriots will consciously become guardians and inheritors of Chinese culture. (Editor/Wang Siyu)
