The Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council held a regular press conference this morning. Chen Binhua, spokesman of the Taiwan Affairs Office, presided over the press conference.

Taiwan's Lianhe Daily: The 5th Council of the ARATS has not been held. Could you please explain the relevant information about the change of the ARATS Council.

Chen Binhua: The ARATS will, as always, be committed to promoting the peaceful development of cross Straits relations and the process of peaceful reunification of the motherland, and continue to play an active role in promoting cross Straits exchanges and cooperation in various fields and safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of compatriots on both sides of the Straits.
