Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council held a regular press conference this morning. Zhu Fenglian, spokesman of the Taiwan Affairs Office, presided over the press conference.

Taiwan CCTV News: The Ministry of Commerce recently announced that it would impose anti-dumping duties on imported polycarbonate originating in Taiwan. There is public opinion in Taiwan that this is to show "economic sanctions" to Lai Qingde's team before "May 20". How do you respond to this?

Zhu Fenglian: As I said just now, the competent authorities carried out the investigation in strict accordance with the relevant laws and regulations and WTO rules, listened extensively to the opinions of all stakeholders, fully guaranteed the rights of all parties, and reached the final investigation conclusion objectively, fairly and impartially. If the enterprises involved want to deal with this, we are willing to assist them to expand the mainland market in a legal and compliance manner. (Editor/Wang Siyu)
