Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council held a regular press conference this morning. Zhu Fenglian, spokesman of the Taiwan Affairs Office, presided over the press conference.
China News Service reporter: Mr. Ma Yingjiu sent invitations to teachers and students from many universities to Taiwan during his visit to the mainland. Will the mainland make relevant arrangements? Will this become the normal mode of cross Strait university teacher-student exchanges in the future?
Zhu Fenglian: We actively support and encourage youth on both sides of the Straits to strengthen exchanges and enhance understanding, mutual learning and mutual learning in exchanges and interactions. At present, the biggest obstacle hindering cross Strait teacher-student exchanges is the control and restriction of the DPP authorities. Only when the DPP authorities comply with the wishes of Taiwan compatriots, remove political barriers, and lift restrictions on cross-strait exchanges, especially those of mainland compatriots entering the island, can cross-strait exchanges return to normal.
