On March 18, www.taiwan.com.cn, the mainland coast guard rescued two people in distress in Jinmen on March 18. To this end, Chen Binhua, spokesman of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, said that it is understood that at about 4:00 a.m. on March 18, the Fujian coast guard found a nameless fishing boat in Weitou Bay and rescued two people, all from Jinmen, who had lost power. The marine police immediately carried out medical assistance and humanitarian care for them, provided them with hot water, food, cotton padded clothes, etc., and sent special personnel to accompany them. At present, two people are in normal physical condition and have called home to report safety. Fujian will arrange the manned boat to return to Jinmen as soon as possible.

Chen Binhua stressed that the mainland insists on taking the people as the center and has always attached great importance to safeguarding the safety of people's lives and property on both sides of the Straits. Both sides of the Straits are originally a family. It is reasonable for both sides to rescue and help each other in case of a maritime emergency, which reflects the humanitarian spirit and demonstrates the blood and feelings between compatriots on both sides of the Straits.
