On May 16, the 26th Cross Strait Economic and Trade Fair opened in Fuzhou. With the theme of "deepening cross Strait integration and building the first home", the conference attracted more than 800 guests, including important business groups, representatives of Taiwan compatriots and enterprises, and important businessmen across the Taiwan Straits. It is committed to building the most influential large-scale comprehensive investment and trade activities across the Taiwan Straits and an important experimental platform for cross Strait integration.
This session of the Fair adopted the "5+3+N" model, elaborately planned five major activities, three supporting theme exchange platforms, and several investment promotion and industry docking activities. From the opening ceremony to the cross-strait chamber of commerce cooperation and exchange, and then to the docking exchange meeting and investment promotion conference for the 30th anniversary of the founding of the Fuzhou Association of Taiwan, various activities are colorful, aiming at comprehensively demonstrating the fruitful results of cross-strait economic and trade exchanges, and gathering the strength of compatriots on both sides to jointly promote integrated development.

In 1994, the predecessor of the Cross Strait Economic and Trade Fair, Fuzhou International Investment Promotion Month, was held for the first time, which opened a window for Fujian to connect with the world trade. In 1999, Fuzhou International Investment Promotion Month was upgraded to "Cross Strait Economic and Trade Fair", which became one of the earliest cross-strait economic and trade activities held in the mainland of China.
The two sides of the Taiwan Straits are connected by one heart and blood, and economic and trade exchanges promote development. Over the past 30 years, the Fair has always adhered to the "theme of the Taiwan Straits", and released a series of innovative policies and measures that benefit the people's well-being of both sides of the Taiwan Straits in its activities over the years, to promote more smooth trade, more accessible funds, and more interlinked people.
At the opening ceremony, Fuzhou released 10 measures for Fuma's "city life circle". This is the first batch of policy measures launched by Fuzhou to implement the Opinions of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council on Supporting Fujian to Explore a New Road for Cross Strait Integrated Development and Build a Cross Strait Integrated Development Demonstration Zone, and promote the construction of Fuma "One City Life Circle".
"From the initial 'landing' to becoming a 'new Fujian people', we worked hard on the vast land of the mainland of the motherland and worked hard to integrate." Zeng Zhiying, a young Taiwanese, said that this year is the eighth year that she has come to the mainland to work. From a solitary and brave "Xiaobai" to an experienced senior, she is trying to build a bridge for cross-strait exchanges and recommend more young Taiwanese talents to the mainland. "The key to 'using Taiwan to attract Taiwan' is to 'use people to attract people', so that more young people in the island can see the gains we have made here, so that everyone can be willing to come here for development."
One family on both sides of the Taiwan Straits, and one family on Fujian and Taiwan. In recent years, Fujian Province has solidly and deeply promoted cross-strait folk exchanges, built the first home for Taiwan compatriots and Taiwan enterprises to land, and laid a solid foundation for the construction of cross-strait integrated development demonstration zone. Looking forward to the future, Fujian will continue to play the role of the Cross Strait Exchange Platform, such as the Straits Fair, to create more opportunities for exchanges and cooperation for compatriots on both sides of the Straits, and jointly write a new chapter in the peaceful development of cross Strait relations.
