On May 11, the 2024 Forum on the Development of Moxibustion Health Industry was held in Nanyang, Aixiang, with the theme of "aggregating industries, win-win cooperation, promoting moxibustion for all, and promoting high-quality development of moxibustion health industry". More than 200 guests gathered together and conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions around the bottleneck of industrial development, accelerating the construction of industrial public service platform, strengthening the quality supervision of moxibustion products, increasing the training of moxibustion talents and promoting the high-quality development of the moxibustion industry.

The forum was divided into four parts. After the leader's speech, six well-known experts, including Zhao Baixiao, the former dean of the School of Acupuncture and Massage of Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, made a special report around the "development status and challenges of the moxibustion health industry". Then, eight industry figures including Liu Zhaobin, the former chief engineer of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China, and Tang Zuxuan, a member of the academic department of the Chinese Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine, conducted a "high-end interview · moxibustion health industry salon".

Moxibustion is a treasure of Chinese traditional medicine, which has played an important role in the reproduction of the Chinese nation, prevention and treatment of diseases. After thousands of years of development, it has formed a unique theoretical system and practical experience. Experts at the meeting believed that moxibustion, which is simple and easy to operate, economically accessible, and has remarkable curative effect, has attracted more and more people's attention and love, and plays an increasingly important role in the health of the whole people. Therefore, moxibustion health knowledge should be popularized, grass-roots medical institutions should be encouraged and supported to carry out moxibustion services, and moxibustion should be included in health management and daily health care, so as to help build a healthy China.
"In recent years, the moxibustion industry has developed rapidly, and the overall industrial scale has reached 10 billion yuan, becoming an important part of China's traditional Chinese medicine industry. With the in-depth implementation of the Healthy China strategy and the increasing awareness of the health of the whole people, the moxibustion market is expected to exceed 100 billion yuan in the next few years." The experts at the meeting also pointed out that the moxibustion industry also has a low degree of management concentration over the years, There are few high-tech and high value-added products, imperfect industry standards, uneven product quality, and chaotic market competition. Therefore, experts suggest that the moxibustion industry urgently needs to integrate advantageous resources, achieve scientific and technological leadership, innovative development, improve industry standards, strengthen market supervision, and advocate industry self-discipline, so as to promote high-quality development of the moxibustion industry.

On the forum site, the "China Moxibustion Health Industry Public Service Platform" was officially launched; Gu Naifei, director of the Cross Strait Health Industry Cooperation and Development Center, signed a cooperation and development letter with enterprises of the Moxibustion Health Industry Branch of the Chinese Health Association.

On the afternoon of May 10, the day before the forum, the moxibustion health industry branch of China Health Management Association was established. Guo Jiji, the deputy director of the Institute of Science and Technology of the National Health Commission, was elected honorary president of the moxibustion health industry branch. Zhao Baixiao, the former president of the School of Acupuncture and Massage of Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, was elected chairman of the branch.
