Economic growth and water resources allocation "double development" China's experience in water control provides an example for the world

   CCTV News: The 10th World Water Forum is being held in Bali, Indonesia. At the forum, the Chinese delegation shared China's water control philosophy and experience. Many experts attending the meeting said that China has many successful cases of water control, and rich experience and successful strategies are worth learning from other countries.

During the 10th World Water Forum, the Ministry of Water Resources of China and the World Water Council jointly hosted the fourth high-level seminar on global water security. At the meeting, the Chinese delegation shared the concept, latest policies and practical experience of water control in China.

Many representatives at the meeting said that in the face of the current challenges of climate change and extreme weather, China's water control strategy is also constantly refining and changing, which has set a good example for the world.

Li Lifeng, Director of the Department of Land and Water Resources of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, attended several meetings during the Forum. He felt that many countries were very interested in China's water management concept and experience, and hoped to understand how China could keep its economy growing at a high speed while its water resources could continuously meet the rapid economic growth.

In addition, the 10th World Water Forum also held a branch meeting on the topic of "River Life: Water System Connectivity and Ecological Flow" and a presentation meeting on the report of "River Ethics Construction and China's Practice". At the meeting, the Chinese delegation held exchanges and discussions on river ethics issues and the participants, and proposed to work with countries and international organizations around the world to jointly promote river protection and governance, accelerate the realization of the water related goals of the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, and make new contributions to jointly building a community with a shared future for mankind and a clean and beautiful world.
