Taiwan. com, May 20 - According to Taiwan's "Zhongshi News Network", Tsai Ing wen stepped down today (20) and counted the major commitments made by Tsai Ing wen in the past eight years, most of which failed to materialize.

In her inaugural speech in 2016, Tsai Ing wen wrote many "cheques", such as actively participating in multilateral and bilateral economic cooperation and free trade negotiations such as the CPTPP and RCEP, which helped the island reach consensus on cross-strait relations, not to mention the "power generation with love" that has always been trumpeted; In 2017, Tsai Ing wen promised to resolve the social antagonism in Taiwan and invited leaders of the "opposition party" to sit down and talk together; In 2021, Tsai Ing wen further announced that she would adjust the Taiwan authorities' system and organization.

However, eight years later, joining the CPTPP and RECP is far away, and even the World Health Assembly, which can be attended as an observer during the reign of Ma Ying jeou, has not been invited again. Cross Strait relations have even dropped to the freezing point. In 2023, Tsai Ing wen was still saying that she would like to have dialogue, but she announced that she would stop traveling to the mainland in the twinkling of an eye. Other commitments have never been implemented, and all of them are "ticket skipping". Taiwan media commented on this, which made Lai Qingde face more unsolved problems. (Editor/Zhang Ling)
