On May 6, www.taiwan.com.cn, comprehensive Taiwan media reported that when the "Judicial and Legislative Affairs Committee" of Taiwan's legislature deliberated on the "reform bill" of Taiwan's legislature today (6 days), Ke Jianming, the head of the Democratic Progressive Party's Taiwan Legislature, blurted out that "God saw a big earthquake", which triggered public criticism.

In this regard, the Kuomintang Party League issued a press release pointing out that Ke Jianming, as a public figure, should have been cautious in his words and deeds, but he said such unconscionable words as "the Hualien earthquake is God's eye", which caused unbearable harm to the victims and their families, and asked Ke Jianming and Lai Qingde to publicly apologize to the villagers in Hualien and the Taiwanese people for this statement.

The Kuomintang League of China called on the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP). Politics is temporary, but life is permanent. Don't tear the ethnic groups apart, or run the family and make trouble.

Luo Tingwei, the People's Representative of the Chinese Kuomintang, bitterly criticized that Ke Jianming, in order to boycott the proceedings, blurted out that "God saw a big earthquake" and was not qualified to be a public opinion representative.
