Decided to summon friends from all over the country in the name of the "Association for Safeguarding Fishing and Promoting Unification", unite again, give full play to the waste heat, and support all forces that can promote reunification, including promoting all-round exchanges and integration between the two sides of the Taiwan Straits, correcting some Western and island media's improper denigration of China's mainland and Taiwan's policies, and debunking all the conspiracies and tricks that make Taiwan enter the danger of war, Exert all influence to strengthen the unified force at home and abroad.
After the notice was issued, more than 60 "fishing protection" people responded enthusiastically. The inaugural meeting of the "Fishing Protection and Unification Promotion Association" was successfully held. Gao Zhiyun, the convener of the preparatory meeting, said at the conference that in the face of the world's unprecedented changes in a century, everyone should unite again to promote the reunification of the two sides of the Taiwan Straits, recover the Diaoyu Islands, achieve the wish of the "anglers" of that year, and realize the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
Hua Junxiong, Ji Xin and Wu Guozhen spoke on behalf of the United States, Taiwan and mainland China respectively. They all said that they were willing to rise up again to realize the original intention of "fishing protection", and in the face of the new international situation and severe and complex cross-strait relations, they would work together to explore the theory of reunification, and make every effort to support the patriotic reunification forces in the island. Chen Guangyu, one of the initiators, read out the founding declaration drafted by him, which was "to protect fishing in those years, to promote unification today, not to forget the original intention, and to be humble", and received warm applause.
The meeting also passed the articles of association without objection, and elected Gao Zhiyun, Hua Junxiong, Huang Zhecao, Kang Xueyu, Chen Xianzhong, Zhang Wenji, Zhang Bei, Ji Xin, Chen Guangyu, Tong Bingyu, Zou Xiaomei, Shen Qiguo, Zhao Jiaqi, Deng Hongsheng, Fu Shutao and other directors.
