The Opinions of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council on Supporting Fujian to Explore a New Road for Cross Strait Integrated Development and Build a Cross Strait Integrated Development Demonstration Zone (hereinafter referred to as the Opinions) released last September proposed to support Fuzhou and Mazu to deepen their integrated development, create a "one city life circle" in Fuzhou and support Mazu residents to enjoy the same treatment as local residents in Fuzhou. The 10 measures released this time are just the important measures taken by Fuzhou to implement the Opinions and promote the construction of Fuma "urban life circle".
In the first three months of this year, Fuzhou Customs supervised and served 13700 passengers to and from Fuzhou and Mazu via the "small three links" route between Fuzhou and Mazu, an increase of 670% year on year. This shows that there are close personnel exchanges between the two places, and the construction of the "urban life circle" in Fuma has practical needs and significance.
On April 28, more than half a month before the release of the first batch of policies for Fuma's "One City Life Circle", Fujian released the second batch of policies and measures to further promote the construction of cross-strait integrated development demonstration areas, and launched the "Fuma One City Link" card for Mazu compatriots. With this card, Taiwan compatriots with Mazu's household registration can enjoy the benefits of taking subway and bus in Fuzhou, visiting four cultural attractions in Fuzhou free of charge, providing special accommodation in designated hotels, consulting on business lines such as children's schooling, employment and entrepreneurship, free rent for quick check-in Taiwanese, and free agency services provided by the Municipal Government Affairs Service Center. This means that with a card in hand, Taiwan compatriots can enjoy travel, accommodation, work and other conveniences in Fuzhou, and their sense of gain and happiness in the mainland will be further enhanced.
As one of the measures to build a "city life circle" in Fuma, the "Fuma city to city" card has been opened for online application, which makes it more convenient and fast for Taiwanese to apply for the card. It can be predicted that with the release and implementation of the 10 measures, the two cities will further close the "life circle", the personnel exchanges will be more cordial, the economic and trade exchanges will be closer, and the cultural exchanges will be more frequent. The residents of the two cities will further get closer to each other in the exchanges, and bring the spiritual distance closer. The construction of "urban life circle" in Fuma will move towards a broader field, a higher degree and a deeper level, and boost the integration and development of the two sides.
Building a "city life circle" in Fuma is an important path for Fujian to explore a new path of cross Strait integration and development. Fujian and Taiwan are facing each other across the sea and connected by one river, shouldering the historical mission of building a demonstration zone for the integrated development of both sides of the Taiwan Straits. Just over seven months after the release of the Opinions, Fujian has successively released two batches of 28 specific policies and measures to promote the two regions to be fully connected and inclusive in terms of facilitating Taiwan compatriots' exchanges and work life in Fujian, deepening economic and trade cooperation between Fujian and Taiwan, supporting the development of Taiwan funded enterprises, encouraging Taiwan compatriots' employment and entrepreneurship, and fully demonstrating "one family on both sides of the Taiwan Straits, Fujian and Taiwan are close relatives".
The compatriots on both sides of the Straits have blood thicker than water and have always been a family. The implementation of a policy measure of "project benefits and Taiwan compatriots" shows that the mainland always takes the well-being of Taiwan compatriots as its heart, takes the lead in sharing development opportunities and achievements with Taiwan compatriots, and actively works for Taiwan compatriots to do practical things, do a good job, and solve difficult problems.
