"Shanghai Snack Festival" is on fire in front of citizens' homes

Six steamed buns for 7 yuan, 12 dumplings for 7.7 yuan, and a plate of chicken for 1 yuan... These real discounts are really happening around the citizens.  

   The "May 5th Shopping Festival", the first of its kind in Shanghai, not only drives the continuous release of the consumption power of shopping centers, but also ignites the enthusiasm for consumption in places closest to people's livelihood. Ten days after the opening of the "Shanghai Snack Festival" under the guidance of the Municipal Commission of Commerce and led by the Municipal Federation of Commerce, citizens and tourists have taken to the streets of Shencheng to "taste snacks". "At the peak of the epidemic, half of the sales in the store came from large packaged food, which helped us overcome the temporary difficulties".  

   Thanks to the latest "freshness locking" technology, some frozen steamed buns and steamed buns can now have a shelf life of up to 30 days. The reporter saw in the store that the "No. 1 Combination of Fresh Bags" that was being sold at a special price was 13 yuan at the original price, but only 7 yuan after 50% discount. However, Yang Hai believes that the business hours of Hutchison snacks cover breakfast, lunch and dinner. Judging from the current passenger flow distribution, lunch is the best recovery, but the dinner market still needs to boost confidence, and the activity of adding 1 yuan to get a plate of chicken is aimed at the dinner market. According to the data, Hutchison Snack has 12 stores in Shanghai. During the week from May 15 to 21, about 3000 pieces of salted chicken have been given away, which directly leads to more than 1000 tables. According to the average sales of 400 yuan per table, the additional turnover is about 400000 yuan.  

   During the Snack Festival, for the brunch market, four stores including Hutchison's Jinyulan Branch, New East Asia Branch, Daning Branch and Kongjiang Branch launched the activity of "50% or 80% discount for Shanghai's breakfast and lunch snacks coupons" on the public review, which is also unprecedented. Yang Hai said that up to now, more than 500 coupons have been sold in this activity, and the customer flow to the stores has increased by 20%. "If the average price of breakfast and lunch tables is 200 yuan, the additional income of the four stores will exceed 100000 yuan".

   A poster of the series of activities of "Learning to make Shanghai dim sum with masters" with a tight schedule was posted at the gate of Zhenru Gaoling Market. On May 23, the first walnut pastry tasting and making activity was held in the market. The master of the Shanghai pastry shop taught the children how to bake, knead flour, eggs, sugar, oil, and sprinkle sesame seeds into the oven. After 15 minutes, the delicious walnut pastry was ready. The person in charge of Gaoling Market told reporters that after the opening of the Snack Festival, there will be activities here every day. In the coming days, there will also be special Shanghai dim sum making activities such as Fuchun Xiaolong, Shaomai, Tangyuan, and so on. The citizens are very enthusiastic to participate.  

   The reporter learned from the Municipal Commercial Federation that since the launch of the "Shanghai Snack Festival", citizens have experienced the benefits and convenience at home. Among them, as one of the main venues of the event, Zhenru Gaoling Fair had 45 merchants participating in the event. Among them, outfield enterprises attract attracted consumers and surrounding residents with competitive products or new products at large discounts, and the turnover greatly exceeds the expectations of participating enterprises.  

   The person in charge of the fair said that the snacks in the infield were more diversified and more preferential, which attracted nearly 20000 people a day. The daily turnover of merchants basically increased by more than 60%. The turnover of some brands, such as Fuchun Xiaolong, increased by 203% compared with the usual weekend.
