China news agency, Songyuan, Jilin, June 20 (Reporter Li Yanguo) The first Taiwan Food Industrial Park in Jilin Province was inaugurated in Songyuan on the 20th, attracting more than 120 Taiwanese businessmen to visit, including 7 Taiwanese enterprises that signed a contract to settle in the park on the same day.
Songyuan Taiwan Food Industrial Park is a professional food processing park specially built by Songyuan Municipal Government to promote cooperation with Taiwanese businessmen. The industrial park is located in the southwest of Songyuan City, with a planned area of 2.04 square kilometers. At the signing ceremony of the Food Industrial Park on the same day, seven Taiwanese enterprises reached an agreement with the Songyuan Municipal Government to cooperate in the development of the 100 ton per day rice bran refined oil project, the 1000 ton per year buckwheat food project, and the lentinan and xanthan gum projects in the park.
In addition, five Taiwanese business groups, including Taiwan Cross Strait Agricultural Products Promotion Association, Taiwan Industry and Commerce Construction Research Association, and China Green Culture Association, also signed the Economic and Trade Cooperation Framework Agreement with the Songyuan Municipal Government to promote more Taiwanese enterprises to invest in Songyuan Taiwan Food Industrial Park.
"At present, the economic situation in Europe and the United States is not good, and many Taiwanese enterprises have turned their eyes to the mainland market, especially the rich northeast." Qiu Yunlai, president of the China Association of Agricultural Science and Technology, said that 19 experts and business leaders of the Association would consider settling appropriate investment projects here after a comprehensive inspection of the industrial park.
Ye Fanghong, vice chairman of the China Association of Trade Managers, said that Jilin Province has natural resource advantages in the food industry, while Taiwan enterprises have the strength in technology and scientific research and development. I believe that this complementary feature of both sides will promote the development of Taiwan's food industrial parks.
On the same day, Songyuan also held the "First Cross Strait · Songyuan Economic and Trade Exchange Conference". According to the characteristics of Taiwan businessmen and combining the local resource advantages, Songyuan selected projects such as oil and gas chemical industry, agricultural products deep processing, biomedicine, equipment manufacturing, new energy, new materials and so on to promote to Taiwan businessmen.
