On May 23, www.taiwan.com.cn, from May 21 to 23, a delegation from the Industrial Policy Meeting of Jinmen County Government, the Alcohol Trade Association and the Tourism Specialty Association visited Shantou to experience the history and culture of Chaoshan, discuss how to promote the comprehensive bonded business exchange between Shantou City and Jinmen County, the development of small trade with Taiwan, and promote exchanges and cooperation between time-honored brands, alcohol, food industries, etc.
During their stay in Shantou, the delegation visited Shantou Comprehensive Bonded Zone and Nan'ao County, visited Guangdong Chaoshanlao Industrial Co., Ltd. and the Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum, went to Chaode Ashui Beef Hotpot Shop to experience beef product manufacturing skills, and worked with Shantou Municipal Committee and Taiwan Affairs Office, Guangdong Chaoshan Time honored Brand Industry Promotion Association, Shantou Alcohol Circulation Association, Shantou Chaoshang Brand Construction Promotion Association Persons in charge of Longhu District Young Entrepreneurs Association and other associations had an exchange forum to discuss the promotion of exchanges and cooperation between Shantou and Jinmen County in time-honored industries, liquor and food industries.
Shantou is the nearest city to Taiwan in Guangdong Province, the main ancestral home of Taiwan compatriots, and one of the regions where Taiwanese businessmen first invested in the mainland. Shantou and Taiwan share the same root and blood, with deep historical origins and solid cooperation foundation. Lv Ruitai, Director General of the Industrial Policy Committee of the People's Government of Jinmen County, said that the most distinctive feature of Jinmen is Jinmen sorghum wine. He hoped to do cross-strait exchanges on specialty products for mutual benefit and win-win results. Li Yizhang, the chairman of Jinmen County Tourist Specialty Association, believes that Shantou's beef is very famous. He hopes to promote Shantou's time-honored products to Taiwan's compatriots, bring Taiwan's characteristic products, such as sorghum wine, a root, noodles, etc. to Shantou's villagers, and explore cultural, food, and economic exchanges between the two sides of the Taiwan Straits.
