Taiwan. com, May 9 - Recently, the 7th Cross Strait Yangmingshan Go Invitational was held in Yangmingshan, Shuangpai County, Yongzhou City.

As one of the series activities of the 15th Hunan Yangmingshan "Harmony" Cultural Tourism Festival (Rhododendron Fair) and the 2024 Hunan Summer Tourism Season, more than 40 people from 7 teams from Taiwan, Hunan, Guangdong and other places were invited to participate in the competition. The youngest contestant was 14 years old, and the oldest was close to 60 years old. We meet friends and compete with chess, learn from each other, and make progress and win together.

After two consecutive days of fierce competition, Taiwan Taipei Team, Taiwan Kaohsiung Team and Hunan Hongyi Team finally ranked in the top three.

"It's very good to come to the motherland for cultural exchanges." Gai Shihong, the leader of the Kaohsiung Go delegation in Taiwan, said that he hoped that through folk cultural exchanges, people on both sides of the Taiwan Straits would get to know each other more closely and communicate with each other, so as to continuously enhance mutual friendship.

Shuangpai Yangming Mountain and Taiwan Yangming Mountain have the same name and surname, and the same root and homology. At the first China Yangming Mountain "Harmony" Cultural Tourism Festival and Azalea Fair, the two mountains became brothers. In recent years, the Shuangpai County Party Committee and the County Government have actively promoted exchanges and cooperation in Taiwan's culture, tourism, economy and other aspects. Now, the "Harmony" Cultural Tourism Festival and the Yangmingshan Go Invitational Tournament on both sides of the Taiwan Strait have become important brands in Hunan Taiwan cultural exchanges.
