In the beginning of summer, when all things show together and are full of vitality, the Taiwan Affairs Office of Jiangchuan District, Yuxi City, together with the Red Cross Society of Jiangchuan District, jointly organized a donation ceremony for Taiwan compatriots Mr. Li Xianzhi and Ms. Shen Zhihua, "Crossing the Taiwan Sea and Caring for Jiangchuan", to witness a donation activity full of love and warmth.
At the donation ceremony, Mr. Li Xianzhi, a Taiwan compatriot, and Mr. Li Shangli, the son of Ms. Shen Zhihua, adhered to their parents' wishes and donated 500000 yuan to the Red Cross Society of Jiangchuan District, Yuxi City, to help the disadvantaged groups in Jiangchuan District.
Li Shangli said: In the long stream of time, the once turbulent waves cannot stop the warm family, hometown and compatriot love buried in the heart. Parents hope to make a modest contribution to their hometown on their behalf. As Mr. Sun Yat sen said, "Everyone should aim to serve, not to win. As much as he has, he can benefit as many people". This donation is expected to have good management and make good use of the donations, so as to help people in need directly.
The city leaders who participated in the donation ceremony unanimously expressed their most sincere thanks and highest respect for Mr. Li's generosity and love! I am very proud of their love and responsibility! We will respect their willingness to donate, deliver the money to the recipients, and convey their feelings!
The compatriots on both sides of the Taiwan Straits, who share the same root and language, are connected by blood.
