On August 30, www.taiwan.com.cn, recently, under the leadership of Chen Changfeng, the honorary head of the 19th Taiwan University Distinguished Youth Delegation to the mainland, and Cao Hanwen, the head of the delegation and the deputy secretary-general of the Taiwan China Outstanding Youth Exchange Promotion Association, the delegation came to Peking University to carry out exchange and visit activities.
At the welcoming ceremony, all the staff enjoyed the song performances "As You Wish" and "Grandma's Penghu Bay" brought by Peking University students, and watched Peking University promotional videos. They felt that both sides of the Taiwan Strait have the same roots, cultural resonance, and mellow accumulation, and understood the spirit of "patriotism, progress, democracy, and science" and the spirit of "diligence, preciseness, realism, and innovation" The style of study in Yanyuan is endless.
At the group discussion and exchange meeting held by the New Sun Student Activity Center of Peking University, teachers and students from both sides of the Taiwan Straits enthusiastically exchanged views on the unique charm of traditional culture, campus life and other aspects, and conducted a warm discussion on career planning, hobbies and other aspects.
The teachers and students of Peking University also led the youth of Taiwan's colleges and universities to visit the campus, passing through Yannan Garden, Jingyuan Garden, West Gate, Sackler Archaeological and Art Museum, Weiming Lake, Boya Tower and other landmark architectural landscapes, to experience the simple and unsophisticated Yanyuan architecture together, and to pursue the same historical memory integrated into the blood.
At the welcome dinner, along with the songs, dances, instrumental music and other wonderful literary and artistic programs presented by Peking University and Taiwan delegation students, this sincere exchange across mountains and seas is gradually coming to an end, and the indelible precious memory will also be forever frozen.
It is reported that the visiting group of outstanding young people from Taiwan's colleges and universities to the mainland (hereinafter referred to as the "Outstanding Youth Group") was founded by the Central Committee of the National Revolutionary Movement in 2004 in the name of the China Zhongshan Cultural Exchange Association. It has been held for 18 times so far. It is a famous brand activity for youth student exchanges across the Taiwan Straits. In 2008, Taiwan's "China Outstanding Youth Exchange Promotion Association" (hereinafter referred to as "Outstanding Youth Association"), with the members of previous "Outstanding Youth League" as the main body, was established. Through the "Outstanding Youth League" and "Outstanding Youth Association", more young friends on both sides of the Straits have become good friends and partners in their studies and careers.
