The 2023 Cross Strait Youth Summit will open in Beijing on July 12, and the series of activities will continue to the end of October

July 5, www.taiwan.com.cn The 2023 Cross Strait Youth Summit, co sponsored by the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, the Ministry of Education, the All China Youth Federation and the Beijing Municipal Government, will open in Beijing on July 12.

At the media briefing of the 2023 Cross Strait Youth Summit held on July 4, the relevant responsible person of the Summit Organizing Committee said that the opening ceremony, main forum and sub forum of the 2023 Cross Strait Youth Summit continued to be held in Haidian District, and more than 220 heads of 16 youth institutions and youth representatives from all walks of life in Taiwan attended the meeting on the spot, of which more than 50% of Taiwan's youth came to the mainland for the first time to attend the Summit.

It is reported that the summit will hold the opening ceremony, the main forum and the sub forum of science and education, sports and innovative talents with the theme of "forging ahead with youth". At the summit site, activities such as cross-strait youth music carnival summer party, three mountains and five parks cultural and creative market, science and technology achievements vitality exhibition, cross-strait youth sports exchange camp and 2023 Beijing Taiwan youth cycling around Beijing will also be held simultaneously.

It is reported that the summit has five chapters, namely, building morality, building a strong sports country, building a nest to attract phoenix, and integrating development. From mid July to the end of October, 25 series of activities will be held, including the Beijing Taiwan Youth Basketball Friendship Competition, the 8th Beijing Taiwan Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, etc, It is estimated that about 1200 young people from Taiwan will participate in various activities.
