Lu Yungang, who lives in Lu Village, Binzhou Town, Binyang County, Guangxi, is the inheritor of the craftsmanship of making oil paper umbrellas in Binyang, Guangxi's intangible cultural heritage. The technique of making oil paper umbrellas has been passed down in Binyang County for more than 300 years. Lu Yungang's family has been umbrella craftsmen for several generations. From bamboo cutting to finished products, it takes more than 120 processes before and after an oil paper umbrella, and it takes 3 days to complete from beginning to end. Lu Yungang said that it is in such fine production and polishing that each product has the temperature of being handed down from generation to generation.
