Atlas Copco sells a variety of products in China, and carries out corresponding services and market development business. These products include air and gas compressors, mobile compressors, generators, construction and mining equipment, pneumatic and electric tools and assembly systems. It also has a nationwide sales, distribution, service and maintenance network as its strong backing.

Atlas Copco currently has seven companies (four of which are factories) in mainland China, producing and selling compressors, generators, construction and mining equipment, industrial tools and assembly systems, and providing after-sales services. Atlas Copco has established sales and service offices in 40 regions of mainland China and signed more than 150 distributors. Atlas Copco has developed rapidly in the Chinese market, with 1600 employees and an important share of sales revenue in the Group. More than half of this sales revenue comes from manufacturing industry, followed by process/construction industry and mining industry. Our company in China exports products to other brother companies in Asia, as well as to other overseas distribution centers.

History of entering China

Atlas Copco's products entered the Chinese market as early as the 1920s by importing from Europe. In the 1980s, Atlas Copco set up a company in Hong Kong and representative offices in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. From 1983 to 1985, Atlas Copco signed product licensing agreements with six Chinese companies to start the production and processing of some products.

Since 1993, Atlas Copco has expanded its business in China by establishing a joint venture. After a period of effort, the company gradually transformed the original joint venture company into a 100% sole proprietorship company from 1998.
