After a three-day comprehensive review, Suzhou Rail Transit Line 8 successfully passed the project acceptance yesterday (May 22), initially meeting the conditions for trial operation, and is expected to open for initial operation at the end of September.
Suzhou Rail Transit Line 8 starts from Xijinqiao Station in the west and ends at Chefang Station in the east, with a total length of 35.6 kilometers. It has 28 stations, including 12 transfer stations. It is the backbone line from northwest to southeast around the ancient city of Suzhou, and also the north-south backbone line in the east area of Jinji Lake.
Under the supervision and guidance of Suzhou Housing and Urban Rural Development Bureau and Suzhou Rail Transit Project Quality and Safety Supervision Station, an acceptance committee was established, which consists of four professional acceptance teams, namely comprehensive, civil decoration, electromechanical and system. The acceptance committee listened to the report on the construction, trial operation preparation and other conditions of Rail Transit Line 8, surveyed 16 stations, 2 sections, 1 parking lot, 1 main transformer and 1 control center on the site, reviewed various approval documents and acceptance reports, and checked the acceptance and rectification of (sub) unit projects. At the same time, the acceptance committee conducted 213 tests on the system and electromechanical equipment, and the test results met the requirements. The acceptance committee also fully communicated with the construction, design, construction, supervision, consultation and other participating units of rail transit line 8, and finally formed the opinions of the professional acceptance team and the project acceptance opinions. Members of the acceptance committee unanimously agreed that Suzhou Rail Transit Line 8 passed the acceptance of the project.
Next, Rail Transit Line 8 will carry out trial operation, and organize completion acceptance and safety assessment before initial operation.
In addition, in order to achieve the goal of high-quality opening of Rail Transit Line 8, Suzhou Rail Transit Construction Company has made it clear that it will complete the phased goal of restoring the motorway and non motorway at Times Square Station and Right Bank Street Station by June 20.
