On May 20, the Higher People's Court of the Autonomous Region and the Chongqing Higher People's Court signed the Memorandum of Judicial Technical Cooperation in Lhasa.
Cideng, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and President of the Higher People's Court of the Autonomous Region, and Wang Zhongwei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Executive Vice President of the Chongqing Higher People's Court, attended the ceremony and delivered speeches.
The meeting stressed that the joint signing of the Memorandum is a concrete manifestation of inheriting the friendship between Chongqing and Tibet, building a mutual aid bridge, and improving the cooperation mechanism, which will further promote the interconnection, mutual assistance, and joint construction and sharing of the courts of the two places. Chongqing courts will carry forward the spirit of ownership, adhere to the concept that "the affairs of the Tibetan courts are our own affairs", implement all the intellectual assistance to Tibet matters specified in the Memorandum, and firmly believe that the strategic cooperation between Chongqing and Tibet courts in judicial and technical work will yield fruitful results. The Tibetan court will work with the Chongqing court to fully promote the implementation of the Memorandum, expand judicial technical cooperation to more and broader areas, and make new and greater contributions to promoting long-term peace and stability in Tibet and high-quality development, and comprehensively building a new socialist modern Tibet.
