This two-day event was hosted by the China Bee Products Association and the People's Government of Naidong District, Shannan City, with the theme of "honey cannot be separated". The activity aims to lead the bee product industry to develop characteristic bee pollination industry and create characteristic and advantageous products.

Shannan has rich nectar plants and unique ecological environment, which provides unique conditions for the development of bee industry. " Zhang Wei, member of the Standing Committee of Shannan Municipal Party Committee and secretary of Naidong District Party Committee, said, "In recent years, Shannan has unswervingly taken the road of ecological priority and green development and vigorously developed the bee industry. The number of bee colonies accounts for about 70% of the district. A mature industrial chain integrating production and marketing has been formed. The annual output of high-quality honey exceeds 300 tons and the output value exceeds 100 million yuan, driving nearly 18000 people in the city to increase income."

At the opening ceremony, the China Bee Products Association signed a cooperation agreement with the People's Government of Naidong District to jointly build China's "hometown of honey". The two sides will strengthen cooperation in base construction, technical services, standard formulation, quality control, brand promotion, etc., take the mountain nectar industry as an important starting point for the adjustment of agricultural industrial structure, development of rural economy, and promotion of rural revitalization in Naidong District, and jointly build the mountain nectar brand in Naidong District.

In addition, the Tibetan Bee Culture Theme Ecological Experience Park, located in Jieba Township, Naidong District, has been officially awarded as a national 3A tourist attraction, an industry university research cooperation base of the Silkworm and Bee Research Institute of Zhejiang University, a research base of Sichuan University for building a solid sense of community of the Chinese nation, and an industry university research cooperation base of the School of Tourism of Central South Forestry University.
