In the afternoon of May 6, the vice chairman of the autonomous region and the secretary of the Shigatse Municipal Party Committee, Sloannima, had a discussion with the delegation led by Zhou Haiying, the deputy secretary of the Yangpu District Party Committee and the head of the Yangpu District, Shanghai, to further deepen the counterpart support work and expand the cooperation fields.
On behalf of the Shigatse Municipal Party Committee and the Shigatse Municipal Government, Sloannima extended welcome to Zhou Haiying and his delegation, and thanked Yangpu District of Shanghai for its selfless support to Shigatse for a long time. He said that since the 10th batch of Tibetan aid cadres from Yangpu District came to Tibet in July 2022, they have overcome the plateau reaction and actively engaged in work, which has provided strong support and injected strong impetus into the economic and social development of Lazi County and even Shigatse City, and won a good reputation among cadres and the masses of all ethnic groups.
Sloannima pointed out that in the past year, Shigatse has achieved great achievements in political stability, social stability, economic development, national unity, good ecology, consolidated border defense, and people living and working in peace and contentment. Shigatse City and Yangpu District have their own resource endowments, development advantages and huge cooperation prospects. It is hoped that both sides will continue to deepen integration, strengthen industrial cooperation and jointly promote high-quality development.
Zhou Haiying congratulated Shigatse on the fruitful results of its economic and social development, and thanked the Shigatse Municipal Party Committee and the Shigatse Municipal Government for their long-term support for the work of Yangpu District and their care for cadres and talents who helped Tibet. He said that it is a major political task entrusted to us by the CPC Central Committee and the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee to support Lazi County.
