Standard for preparation method of gate valve model
I. The recommended national standard GB/T 32808-2016 Valve Model Preparation Method shall be adopted for the preparation of gate valve models
II. Preparation method of gate valve model
The gate valve model consists of 7 units, including valve type, driving mode, connection mode, structural type, sealing surface material or lining material type, pressure code or working pressure at working temperature, and valve body material. The model is shown as follows:
I (Unit 1) II (Unit 2) III (Unit 3) IV (Unit 4) V (Unit 5) - VI (Unit 6) VII (Unit 7)
I (Unit 1): valve type code
II (2 units): driving mode code
III (3 units): connection form code
Ⅳ (4 units): structure type code
V (Unit 5): Code of valve seat sealing surface material or lining material
Ⅵ (6 units): nominal pressure code or working pressure code at working temperature
Ⅶ (Unit 7): Valve body material code

Note:
1. Code 1, code 2 and code 8 are used for gate valve opening and closing. Two power sources are required to operate the gate valve at the same time
2. This code is omitted for gate valves with handwheel directly connected to valve stem operation structure.
3. For the gate valve operated by pneumatic or hydraulic mechanism: the normally open type is 6K, 7K; The normally closed type is represented by 6B and 7B.
4. The gate valve of explosion-proof electric device is represented by 9B.
