How to maintain the shut-off valve in operation?
The shut-off valve is an important device for industrial automation remote control. Routine maintenance is essential. Regular inspection and maintenance can extend the service life of the emergency shut-off valve. For the supporting electronic components and accessories, electronic products with loose interfaces or damaged shells should be replaced to prevent failures from affecting normal production. For pneumatic emergency shut-off valves and electric emergency shut-off valves that do not often switch, the switch action shall be tested once every three months.
Maintenance and inspection of emergency shut-off valve
Maintenance of shut-off valve in operation:
1. All valves and fittings in operation shall be complete and intact. for example Pneumatic shut-off valve Electric shut-off valve The bolts on the flange and bracket are indispensable, the threads should be intact, and the valve stem seal gland screws should not be loose.
2. If the fastening nut on the hand wheel is found to be loose, it should be tightened in time to avoid wearing the connection or losing the hand wheel and nameplate. If the hand wheel is lost, it is not allowed to replace it with a monkey wrench, and it should be equipped in time. The packing gland shall not be re inclined or have no pre tightening clearance.
3. For valves in the environment prone to rain, snow, dust, sand and other pollutants, their valve stems should be installed with protective covers. If the space location allows, try to build a rainproof shed to reduce the sun and rain.
4. The scale on the valve shall be complete, accurate and clear. The lead seal, cap, pneumatic accessories, etc. of the emergency shut-off valve shall be complete and intact. The insulation jacket shall be free of concave and cracks.
5. It is not allowed to knock, stand or support heavy objects on valves in operation, especially non-metallic valves and cast iron valves.
6. The lubrication part (cylinder piston) of the pneumatic cut-off valve shall be lubricated regularly according to the specific conditions. Frequently opened valves with high temperature are suitable for refueling once a week to a month; The refueling cycle of valves that are not frequently opened and have low temperature can be longer.
7. Lubricants include engine oil, butter, molybdenum disulfide, graphite, etc. High temperature valves are not suitable for using oil and butter, which will be lost due to high temperature melting, and are suitable for injecting molybdenum disulfide and wiping graphite powder.
8. For the exposed parts (valve stem) of the pneumatic emergency shut-off valve that need lubrication, such as trapezoidal threads, gears and other parts, if grease such as butter is used, it is easy to be contaminated with dust, but if molybdenum disulfide and graphite powder are used for lubrication, it is not easy to be contaminated with dust, and the lubrication effect is better than butter. Graphite powder is not easy to apply directly, and can be mixed with a little oil or water to form a paste.
9, Shut off valve The installation position shall be as high as possible from the ground to prevent the valve from being flooded by water in rainstorm or rainy season, which may cause damage to electronic components.
