Description of pipe flame retardant:
ZHQ-II pipe flame retardant is designed and manufactured based on the principle that the narrow gap between the flame retardant triangle metal corrugated plate has quenching effect on the subsonic or supersonic flame propagating in the pipe, and is used as a safety protection device to prevent the spread of external flame in the pipe or vent pipe. Generally, it is installed in the pipeline conveying combustible gas or on the ventilated tank to prevent the spread of flame. The device is composed of flame retardant core, flame arrester shell and accessories. It can also be used in the vent pipe as an accessory for exhaust, suction and fire prevention.

Flame arrester performance:

● The flame retardant performance is qualified. The flame arrester has been tested with subsonic flame for 13 consecutive times, and each time it can prevent the flame from passing through.

● The fire resistance is qualified, and there is no backfire in the fire resistance test for 1 hour.

● The shell is qualified in the hydrostatic test, and there is no leakage at 2.4MPa in the hydrostatic test.

● The flame arrester core is made of stainless steel, which is corrosion resistant and easy to clean.

Flame arrester test requirements:

● Whether the performance of the flame arrester can achieve the expected effect and play the role of flame arrester, the flame arrester must be tested.
● In addition to having a certain mechanical strength, the flame arrester shall also undergo explosion resistance and fire resistance tests, and shall meet the requirements of test standards.

● Flame retardant test is to ignite the combustible gas in the test device within a certain distance, and the generated flame or spark cannot be stopped and extinguished through the flame arrester. This test is called flame retardant test.

● The fire resistance test refers to that the combustible gas flame passes through the flame retardant layer and burns continuously above the flame retardant layer without backburning. The fire retardant layer can withstand flame burning for a certain time without being burned out. This test is called fire resistance test.

● It has flame retardancy and flame resistance at the same time, or it can only have flame retardancy or flame resistance.

Principles for repair and maintenance of pipeline flame arrester

● In order to ensure that the performance of the flame arrester can reach the purpose of use, before installing the flame arrester, you must carefully read the instructions provided by the manufacturer, and carefully check whether the label is consistent with the requirements of the installed pipeline.

● The flow direction mark on the flame arrester must be consistent with the flow direction of the medium.

● Check every six months. Check whether the flame retardant core is blocked, deformed or corroded.

● The blocked fire barrier shall be cleaned to ensure that each hole is unblocked. The deformed or corroded fire barrier shall be replaced.

● When cleaning the flame arrester core, high-pressure steam, non corrosive solvent or compressed air shall be used for purging. Sharp hardware brushing is not allowed.

● When reinstalling the flame retardant layer, the gasket shall be renewed, and the sealing surface shall be confirmed to be clean and free from damage, without air leakage.
