Happy New Year! Today, we are gathered together to talk about friendship, discuss national harmony and welcome the new year together.
First of all, on behalf of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the State Council and the Central Military Commission, I would like to extend my best wishes for the New Year to the democratic parties, the Federation of Industry and Commerce and people without party affiliation, to the people of all ethnic groups in the country, to our compatriots in Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and overseas Chinese, and to friends from all over the world who care about and support China's modernization drive!
2023 is the first year to comprehensively implement the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress. Over the past year, we have adhered to the general tone of seeking progress while maintaining stability, resolutely implemented the transition of COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control, resolutely overcome internal and external difficulties, worked hard and courageously, promoted economic recovery and development, and successfully achieved the main expected goals of economic and social development.
